About
Our vision
A A Knowledge Academy is committed to teaching the correct way of recitation and memorisation of the Qur’an, alongside the teachings of the Arabic language and other Islamic sciences that are related directly and indirectly to the Qur’an.
The Founders
A A was named after Sheikh Ayad and Sheikh Amr, the founders of the academy, whom for many years have been teaching Qur'an and training Imams and teachers at the highest level within the UK and across the Arab world.
Our Mission
We aim to facilitate optimal learning experiences for students of different levels and backgrounds by providing proficient teachers with extensive experience in teaching.
AA Knowledge Academy was established and first launched as an “online” Academy during the COVID Summer of 2020. The idea of establishing an Academy was present for some time with an aim to target the inadequacy and poor accessibility to high quality teaching of both the Quran and Arabic language within the Muslim community across Europe.
In opening our doors to face to face teaching , we are committed to providing an environment that caters for all individuals of all styles and learning abilities, while simultaneously maintaining online classes for students who can not attend in person.

Our teachers and founders
Sheikh Ayad
Memorised and perfected the Qur’ān in both the Quiraat of Warsh ‘an Nāfi’ and Hafs ‘an ‘Āsim under the authority of Al Muqri’ of Algeria Sheikh Yakhlef Charrati and holds Ijāzah in Riwāwat Warsh as well as Qirā’āt ‘Āsim.
Boasting over thirty years of experience teaching Tajweed and Quran both in Algeria and here in the UK

Sheikh Ayad has produced an abundance of qualified reciters, Imāms and teachers of the Qur’ān. This is fundamentally due to his ability to teach an array of levels of students of different age groups and abilities using a Pädagogik approach, where students find themselves progressing smoothly, transitioning from one level to the next at a comfortable,yet rigorous pace.

Sheikh Ayad was a senior Quran instructor at the Imām Shātibi Institute in Fulham, where he was teaching and mentoring students for eight years, as well as the Jazari institute of East London for the past four years.

Sheikh Ayad is currently a Senior lecturer at the Institute of Human Sciences, London, specialising in Qur’ān .
Islamic sciences and academia

Having also studied Shariah under the late Mufti of Algeria ‘Sheikh Ahmed Sahnoun’, Sheikh Ayad has acquired a depth of knowledge and wisdom in his field.

He is currently undergoing a PHD degree in Islamic studies ( Fiqh) from the Islamic University of Minnesota ( USA).

Moreover, Sheikh Ayad holds a degree in finance and has completed his Masters Degree in Qur’ānic Sciences from SOAS University.
Sheikh Amr
Mastered his recitation and memorisation in Egypt obtaining Ijazah in numerous Qiraat from various prominent Sheikhs, whom are considered to have the highest Sanad in the Islamic and Arab world.

Sheikh Amr is a professional and highly gifted Quran teacher with extensive experience in his field of expertise, with 17 years of experience and leading as an Imam. His invaluable learning journey has undoubtedly broadened his horizons, and has enabled him to gain great insight into the appropriate and most efficient methods of teaching the Quran to students through his disciplined commitment and expanded knowledge, thus providing them with the means to progress effectively in their Quran memorisation and recitation.

Sheikh Amr has been leading Taraweeh prayers as the Imam of multiple mosques across the UK and in Egypt for the past 17 years.

Seven years experience teaching Quran at Sheikh Qandil mosque in Egypt.
